My parents (who got married in 1983 and had my older sister just a week before their first anniversary) still occasionally buy vienetta. Me and my dad actually just brought one this week, dad says it's still just as good 30 years after first trying it! (They didn't have Vienetta in the USSR, so the first time they tried it was after they moved out of it in '92). Mum was a nurse in a clinic before moving to work in a hospital and dad was constructing buildings I think. As for me, because my parents had to start from zero after the fall of the USSR, they waited 9 whole years to have another child - with them being in their 20s in the 80s and early 90s, it makes sense that they prioritized having financial stability, finding stable job etc. before having me... While also trying their absolute best to give my sister great childhood memories and spending time with her despite their busy jobs - by '95/96, things were better and they traveled to Greece (wish I was born in the 90s so I could have been there 'cause they looked like they had so much fun there!); also, I'm a post 9/11 baby and a preemie, so... Yeah. My parents were anxious around in those first few months, but my gave me a great early childhood by taking me to kindergarten after the age of 4 because mum thought I needed more time at home or something, not that complained 😅 They just really cared about giving us good memories and spending as much timr with us as they could between the long hours of work. So it's a fact that the 1980s for them wasn't about showing off or about the glitz and glamour: it was about being practical, enjoying life for it's simplicity while it's innocence lasts (they seem to traumatised from the whole fall of the USSR, saying "life was good until it was revealed that it all was a lie" -- and before any of you think anything, I don't really know what mean by that because they kinda refuse tell me how that went, but said they just need more to still process everything even 30 years later.) Also, I was shocked to find out that in the 80s my mum's style was so different: now she wears dark colours and mod-style clothing, but in the 80s, she was a total fashionista - wearing anything from head to toe denim, colourful neon windbreakers, patterned house robes and a very memorable one-shoulder hot-pink dress she wore as a bridesmaid to her best friend's wedding! Sorry, I love this episode and couldn't just share stuff about my parents because, well... I'm goth and love the trad (80s goth) style. And also because my parents seemed like they had fun in the 80s and kinda wish I was there to see it! 🌛

Why would anyone put budgets on a car with your kids in. You can get a decent budget for £50. Never known anyone to have trouble with atleast a known brand budget like for example acceleras. Also the tyre test is rubbish a shit tyre is what it is a poor repair is unlikely to affect the tyres wet road resistance. Thats just a crap tyre probably some proper cheap nasty budget. Just use a reputable garage for example a franchise dealer theyll very rarely sell poor peforming rubbish budgets.

I'm really shocked that someone of Dan Cruikshank's standing would get the story of the English cottage so wrong! The buildings he's in were not the dwelling of the humble poor. Farmers yes, freemen who were actually a way up the social order. Cottage or cotts, were originally the dwellings of the poor, the labourer, the ploughman. More like a bender than the timber frame, lathe and plaster structures we call cottages now. Even in Victorian times the rural poor lived in squalor, barely protected from the elements in cobbled together shacks. The sort of buildings he's looking at were a real cut above, that's why they survived. Real cottages collapsed and disappeared as soon as they were vacated, often being temporarily built on marginal land in the first place.

Okay so the “ puppy farm” that Eric hale guy runs is sad and yes the dogs have a miserable life staring at only 3 cement walls, however I have seen conditions in some puppy farms/mills a heck of a lot worse than his. His kennels looked clean atleast and they weren’t in wire bottom cages. I don’t condone this but I’m just saying some places treat them a lot worse. The one in Ireland was worse. But I’ve seen ones in America Like Amish puppy mills they just think of the dogs as something to make them money..
